In mist-shrouded mountains, a ruthless warlord forces a peaceful farming village to grow opium, murdering anyone who resists. Desperate, the villagers send a young woman to hire help. She returns with seven battle-scarred mercenaries who agree to train the farmers to defend themselves. As the warlord's army descends, these broken warriors must teach pacifists to fight, confronting their own demons while forging an unlikely brotherhood. In a final bloody siege, each mercenary discovers that some causes are worth more than money—and that honor can be found in the most unexpected places.
