After the Mystery Inc gang find a mysterious ring that seems to speak to them in an unfamiliar language, Scooby and Shaggy discover their being hunted by dark forces that threaten to cover the world. Only a trip to Mordor to drop the ring in the fires of Mount Doom will save the day. And even then, will they be able to get back?
