Russell Ira Crowe is a New Zealand-born Australian actor and director known for his intensity and good looks. He won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 2001 for his role in Gladiator, which established his fame in the United States. He also played Jor-El in Man of Steel (2013). Crowe has also won two Golden Globes and a British Academy Film Award. He has two sons with his wife, Australian singer and actress Danielle Spencer.
