Rōnin

In the not-too distant future, Tokyo is the center of crime. Japan is controlled from the shadows by the most powerful crime family in Japan: The Yakuza. The power is in the hands of a family, of a father and his four sons. When the time of the passing of the father comes, he decides to leave his empire to none other than his youngest son. Not only is this a problem because of the youngest superseding the eldest, but that the youngest son wants to change the workings of the Yakuza for the better, to make a legitimate and legal empire out of their criminal family. Seeing no other choice than to have their brother killed, the three elder brothers conspire with their youngest brother’s friend, a foreigner/“gaijin”, to have him murdered before the naming of his succession. Their plan succeeds in time: The brother is presumably killed, the family empire goes to the eldest brother, and the betrothed wife is given to all the brothers. What no one knows, however, is that the youngest brother survives his assassination. Seeking vengeance, he goes on a path of destroying the enterprises of his family, all to draw out the ones responsible for his own destroyed life. Taking up a black mask to conceal his deformities, and taking the term of a warrior without a master, the youngest brother returns home to have his revenge, take back his beloved, his home, and his identity. He will do this, as a “Rōnin.”
