RoboCop franchise is set in a near-future Detroit overrun by crime. The story follows Alex Murphy, a police officer who is killed in the line of duty by a gang of criminals. The megacorporation Omni Consumer Products (OCP) then uses Murphy's body to create RoboCop, a cyborg law enforcement unit that combines Murphy's flesh with advanced technology. RoboCop is designed to represent the future of law enforcement and combat corruption and crime.
