In Dunhaven, a mysterious traveling preacher arrives, promising salvation and prosperity to a town crippled by poverty and despair. He claims to wield "divine weapons"—strange, otherworldly artifacts that glow faintly and seem to bend reality itself. The preacher offers hope to the townsfolk, who are starving and hopeless, but his rituals require a grim price: the children of Dunhaven begin to vanish, one by one, after attending his sermons. A young widow, Clara, who lost her husband to the economic collapse, suspects the preacher’s artifacts are connected to the same malevolent force hinted at in the original Weapons film—a force that thrives on communal trauma and sacrifice. Teaming up with a disillusioned WWI veteran and drifter, Amos, Clara uncovers a chilling truth: the preacher’s “weapons” are fragments of an ancient, eldritch entity that feeds on the despair of broken communities, a force that has haunted Dunhaven for centuries. As Clara and Amos investigate, they face hostility from townsfolk desperate to believe in the preacher’s promises, as well as supernatural phenomena tied to the artifacts: visions of dust-choked children, whispers in the wind, and objects moving on their own. The film weaves historical elements—breadlines, foreclosed farms, and the desperation of the era—with the psychological and cosmic horror of the Weapons universe.
