Cloned from the DNA of Superman and Lex Luthor via Project Cadmus as part of Luthor's plans to try to harm the Man of Steel, Superboy was freed by the Newsboy Legion sometime after Superman's death, but would make his own mark on the world solo, as a founding member of the original Young Justice, and as part of the Teen Titans. Eventually gaining the names Kon-El and Conner Kent, Superboy has shown he is ready to be more, now taking on the mantle of Superman, which he shares with his "brother".
