Fan Casting Savitar in Return to the DC Universe

Savitar is a former Eastern Bloc military pilot. While flying an experimental supersonic plane, he was infused with Speed Force energy that gave him incredible super-speed, making him the fastest man alive. Believing he had received some kind of divine gift, Savitar took his name from the Hindu god of motion. Previously sealed into the Speed Force and escaping, only to die due to Reverse-Flash's manipulating Barry Allen to being the Black Flash, Savitar somehow instead ended up in some kind of prison, which he has begun to escape thanks to his connection to the Speed Force.
