Mitch Anderson didn't have a great life. He was on the outs with his mom since she and his father had separated for a time, but things changed for Mitch when Doomsday came. Saved by Superman, Mitch wanted to turn things around. After discovering his magnetism powers, Mitch would eventually become the face of Lex Luthor's Supermen of America, taking on the name Outburst after helping to protect Metropolis. During the second Crisis, when his team had suffered many injuries, Mitch continued the fight, and now has been brought on to Superman's Supermen of America.
