Sgt. Clifford Zmeck was a certified psychopath, court-martialed by the United States Air Force in 1969 and convicted of murder and rape. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, but Project Atom gave him a chance to be pardoned, which led him to become tied to Project Atom, with a triple layer of Dilustel. Like Captain Atom, Zmeck was sent hurtling decades into the future, where he has worked for clandestine government projects, as well in his own twisted ways as Major Force, having powers on par with Captain Atom, and being in conflict with him often.
