The sister to Morgaine le Fay and Vivienne, the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian legend, like her sisters, Nimue Inwudu has connections to the fall of Camelot, though she has lived for centuries as one of the Elder Folk's descendants with ties to Homo Magi, being a soothsayer, primarily through tarot cards. In modern days, as Madame Xanadu, she uses her cards to help people in need. Though the Spectre would burn her eyes out when driven mad by Eclipso controlling Jean Loring, she has found some ways with the help of her aide, Daena, to break the Spectre's curse, with aid from Crispus Allen, the Spectre's current host, and continues to operate out of Greenwich Village.
