Fan Casting Hellgrammite in Return to the DC Universe

Originally an entomologist, Roderick Rose subjected himself to a mutagenic process that transformed him into a grasshopper-like humanoid insect possessing superhuman strength and leaping abilities, the power to secrete adhesives and weave transformative or imprisoning cocoons, and a durable exoskeleton. Taking on the name "Hellgrammite", Rose went onto a crime spree due to his superiority complex, clashing with Batman, the Creeper, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Superman. Having also sold his soul to Neron, Hellgrammite remains a dangerous enemy.
