A sentient weapon created by Kem-L, an ancestor to the House of El, the Eradicator primarily was programmed to protect his xenophobic beliefs when the alien priest Cleric came to Krypton. Taking the Eradicator with him, Cleric gave it to Superman when he met him on Warworld, with the Eradicator initially attempting to make Clark turn Earth into a New Krypton. Over time, the Eradicator would be touched by Clark's bravery, taking human form with his DNA to protect humanity when Clark was dead battling Doomsday. Now freed after bonding to Doomsday, the Eradicator rejoins the Superman Family once more, safeguarding the Fortress of Solitude.
