Fan Casting Doctor Mid-Nite in Return to the DC Universe

A medical prodigy, Dr. Pieter Anton Cross refused to work within the limits of the system when it came to saving lives, being inspired by his mentor and the man who delivered him when he was born, Dr. Charles McNider, the first Doctor Mid-Nite. When investigating A39, a derivative of Venom that plagued Portsmouth City, Oregon, Pieter was drugged with it, then left in a car crash meant to kill him. The use of A39 on him caused Pieter to see in total darkness, while the accident made him lose his primary sight. With this, he chose to take on his mentor's mantle, becoming the new Doctor Mid-Nite to bring the drug lords to justice and would join the JSA.
