Fan Casting Black Beetle in Return to the DC Universe

A version of Ted Carter/Rip Hunter from part of Hypertime, Black Beetle shaped his armor off of the legend of the Blue Beetle and its other scarabs from the Reach, and has had one mission-- to alter time in a way that benefits him. Driven by a loathing of superheroes due to his father's past, he has combatted his "brother", his "father", and other superheroes while he travels through time, keeping others from finding him. He has also thrown in his hat with other like-minded supervillains, all for the sake of achieving his ambitions.
