Superman has returned to Earth after the events of Superman Warworld because he has learned of an impending attack on Earth by Brainiac, an alien obsessed with collecting worlds and has discovered that there is still a Kryptonian alive, therefore Clark and the league, along with several new heroes, will have to face this threat for the fate of earth, discovering in the process that there is another kryptonian on earth.
