Story Plot

When 'The Cosby Show' premiered on NBC on September 20, 1984, the groundbreaking sitcom was the hottest ticket in town for Black actors to land a role on. Legend has it, the late great Whitney Houston was originally cast to play Sondra (why is why due to negotiations between Houston, Cosby, and the network, the character wasn't introduced until the tenth episode of the first season, "Bonjour Sondra") but she turned it down to pursue her singing career (talk about making the right decision, am I right?). This got me to thinking about the many talented Black actors and actresses that could've, would've, and should've played these roles (I've never cared for Lisa Bonet's actions, personality, or acting; both she and Sabrina Le Beauf doesn't resemble the rest of the fictional Huxtable family at all), so I'm recasting the sitcom (except for Bill Cosby as Heathcliff "Cliff" Huxtable) and renaming it 'The Huxtables.' Who are some of your casting suggestions?
