(Operation NESTWRECKER) Derek was an Umbrella Security Service operator, who was a member of the ill-fated Alpha Team in the employment of Umbrella. Code-name "STORM". He was attacked by mutated Birkin and killed in the sewers. Derek was thrown against a wall like a rag doll, he got back on his feet and sprayed bullets into Birkin, but they had no effect on the mutated Birkin.
