Catherine Delacroix is a Miami Hearld journalist and R.J. Decker's ex-wife. Following her divorce from Decker, during which she had came out as bi, she later fell in loved and married Detective Mel Abreu. However, on the day of their wedding, her ex R.J. ended up getting into trouble with the Ochoa family by beating up Lucas, the senator's step-son, and was imprisioned for eighteen months in Apalachee, which left Catherine with a lot of guilt.
