For Jade Olowe, it's easy to know that prom night is nothing but a night to be the biggest narcissist ever. And when prom is miraculously cancelled, Jade sees a chance for a new start at university. There, Jade sees things as they should've been during school. She has more accepting classmates, excellent friends, and pursuits she actually enjoys. And then there's Rostam Pahlavi, a Muslim student she finds falling for so hard. The problem is the two have met before in summer school, but way before Jade's big glow-up. Things only get worse when an immature enemy from school appears on the university's campus, with the target of creating the sole nightmare Jade has begged not to come for her entire life. And when an ugly secret hits the fan after a night of heavy partying, Jade must confront the storm she created with her actions and forced lies. As the mean girl threatens her love and friendship circles, Jade has to choose to keep lying to herself or head to prom for a deserved payback time, even if it means losing everything.
