Taking place in the 80s, Bruce Wayne, the billionaire who saw his parents murdered at the age of 7. He left Gotham for 9 years, and trained his body and mind for when he returned to his home. But when he decides his city needs a dark protector, he starts his war on crime as Batman. Meanwhile Detective Gordon gets a new partner he struggles with the corruption and cruel past of the GCPD. When Loeb figures out about the Batman, he makes Gordon the head of the manhunt of the Bat.
