Synopsis

Luke Cage, a former gang member that gets powers from a failed experiment, Danny Rand, a rich boy who learned martial arts in the mystical city of K'un Lun.   • riotxvl Episode 1x01: “Harlem is my Home" - Carl Lucas was raised in a dangerous neighborhood in Harlem New York, he and his best friend Willis Stryker were involved with some criminal gangs, but Carl got tired of this life and quit it. However, Stryker did not, and after a rival gang almost killed him, his girlfriend Rava Connors sought comfort with Carl. Stryker felt betrayed and framed him for possession of drugs. When Carl was in prison, he was recruited by Dr. Noah Burstein to a variation of the Super Soldier experiment to reduce his prison sentence. After the experiment went wrong, he got super strength and impenetrable skin. He escaped, changed his name to Luke Cage and decided to use his powers for good and also maybe get some money out of it. When he was trying to think how to prove himself, he sees on the news that the police was looking for the vigilante called Iron Fist, Luke gets a call from a man named Ward offering him money to capture Iron Fist.

  • riotxvl Episode 1x02: “I killed a dragon" - Years ago Wendell Rand, discovered the mystical city of K'un-Lun. When he came back to the United States he co-founded Rand Enterprises, years later he decided to take his business partner Harold Meachum, his wife Heather Rand and his son Danny Rand to see K'un Lun. Unfortunately everyone but Danny died during the expedition after Harold's jealousy got the best of him. Danny was saved by the monks of K'un-Lun. They raised him and trained him on the different mystic and martial arts. Danny became best friends with a kid who rivaled him, Davos. When they were older, the monks gave them the opportunity to become The Immortal Iron Fist if they were able kill the dragon Shou Lao, Davos failed but Danny succeeded. After this Danny decided to go back home in New York with his new obtained powers and use them to fight crime, he made a costume and kept the name Iron Fist, after a few days he got a small name for himself on the streets. Davos followed him to New York after he felt jealous of him. In the present day, Danny sees posters on the streets that there is a fugitive called Carl Lucas, he gets a message from a man named Ward and offers him money to take Carl down.

  • riotxvl Episode 1x03: “Who are you?” - Ward Meachum, is Harold's brother, when he saw that Danny got back to New York, he blamed him for Harold's death, Davos found Ward and proposed him an alliance, Harold gave him the resources to make a suit like Danny's and frame him, he also contacted both Luke and Iron Fist to fight each other. In the present day Danny uses his resources to find Carl to bring him to the police. Luke decides to make a costume to make the people see he is a changed man. Meanwhile a detective named Mercedes Knight, also known as Misty, gets their case assigned by Captain George Stacy. Iron Fist finds Luke, the both of them fight trying to bring each other in for the police, but after some brawling they realize that they are on the same side. Misty gets to the scene, but they run away. Danny freaks out after finding out there is a copycat of him, but he realizes that the doppelganger has to be Davos. Luke and Danny join forces to prove each others innocence.

  • riotxvl Episode 1x04: “Released on bail” - After uniting forces, Luke and Danny decide to prove their innocence on court, so they look for a lawyer. They contact Matt Murdock who is known for his work with the Mutants case. Matt, along side his partner Foggy, tell them to surrender to the authorities and go on trial, Matt gets them released on bail and the duo decide to find Davos and Willis Stryker to prove their innocence. Misty Knight confronts them and hears them out, the 3 of them find Davos and Stryker working together, Stryker has a suit that gives him more strength and resistance and he goes by the name Diamondback. Luke, Iron Fist and Misty try to get them into custody, but they escape. Back on the trial Misty tries to talk to her superiors about it, but they ignore her. Matt and Foggy prove that Iron Fist and Davos have different suits and movements and gets Rava Connors to confess against Stryker and support Luke's alibi. Misty sees her boss allied with Ward Meachum and she quits the force. The jury finds Luke Cage and Iron Fist innocent, and after their win they decide to celebrate on a bar. Luke meets a woman there, they end up going to her apartment together, her name is Jessica Jones.

  • riotxvl Episode 1x05: “She’s something else” - After the trial, Luke ended up having a one night stand with Jessica Jones, a woman with super strength, Luke finds out she’s a P.I. and thinks she was hired by Stryker to spy on him so he leaves. Later that day Luke and Danny continue their search to find Stryker and Davos to take them off the streets, Misty tells them that she saw Ward in the trial and that he's gone into hiding after it. Luke and Danny talk, Danny tells him to get a superhero name and that his superhero outfit looks silly, Luke tells him about Jessica and Danny convinces him to swallow his pride and ask for her help to investigate Ward's location. In the meantime Luke chooses the name Power Man and decides to wear regular clothes instead of a super hero suit. After some research Jessica finds Diamondback and Davos while trying to get some cargo for Ward. Luke, Iron Fist and Misty fight them, Davos has a new attire and now goes by the name Steel Serpent. During the fight Steel Serpent cuts one of Misty's arms and escapes, but they manage to take Diamondback down.

  • riotxvl Episode 1x06 (Finale): “Power of two" - Power Man and Iron Fist take Misty to a hospital where they stabilize her, the duo runs out of patience and interrogates Diamondback until he finally opens up about Ward's location. They get there and find that Ward was killed by Steel Serpent, the duo fights him, but he finds a way to absorb Iron Fist’s power, and use it against Power Man. Iron Fist gets weak and Power Man decides to take him away to recover. Back in Danny’s apartment, Luke helps him stabilize, but after he does, he realizes he can’t focus his chi. While they are recovering, Steel Serpent gets to the building wanting to kill Danny. Luke and Danny dress up again and confront him, they lure him into a park where Danny grew up, Power Man distracts Steel Serpent while Iron Fist meditates, after a few moments of remembering his training, he is able to get his powers back, but this time with 2 Iron Fists. Power Man and Iron Fist team up and Iron Fist overloads him with chi until he’s knocked out. The duo takes Davon to the authorities alongside proof that he killed Ward. The next day, Luke and Danny set up shop in Harlem where they decide to open their business, Heroes for Hire.
