Synopsis

The vain prince Octavian and his scheming advisor, Cassius, use the magic ocean waters and arcane knowledge to construct castles and plunder their rivals. In one defenseless town, they capture a young woman named Taesa who is a magic music scholar. She sings an enchanted song and thus begins a journey toward dangerous discoveries affecting the world around her. Few other singers — even with that same magic water — can attain her level of performance. She supports herself and her mother, Caroline, by singing for hire.
