Description of Pikachu (English Dub):

Pikachu, 11 years old, is Riley's best friend. He's a a perky Pokémon and a troublemaker, but he has a heart full of gold, nevertheless. He met Riley turned into a Riolu after he fell into the cherry blossom forest in which Pikachu stopped by, after that, he learned that the new kid is actually a human. At first he was confused, but soon after got very excited about Riley being a real human, which he believed are just fairy tales. Pikachu befriends Riley, takes him to his house at Rockbell Village, and made him join his exploration club. He dreams of becoming a great explorer.
