During his journey through the universe, Superman ends up being kidnapped by a bounty hunter, handing him over to Mongul, a conqueror who wants to use the kryptonian in order to give him the key to warworld, an artificial planet key that was lost in the ruins of krypton, therefore superman must ally himself with the villains of man of steel in order to find the key and thus somehow prevent mongul from controlling that planet
