After his disappearance during the Age of Ultron, Hulk found himself on the planet Sakaar, where he was imprisoned and forced to do a gladiatorial battle in the Grandmaster's Arena. Hulk and his compatriots quickly rose through the ranks and were soon approached by a rebellion that plotted to overthrow the Grandmaster. Hulk declined, and the rebels were detained. Hulk chooses to stay on the planet instead of going back to Earth as he doesn't want to be the danger after what he caused.
