Story Plot

When life mows us down like a mac truck, sometimes we feel the need to cling to those moments we thought were the happiest. To look for that thing that will allow us to reatreat into the times before we knew about our troubles. But those times, if they ever existed, are dead. And sometimes, dead is better. From Guillermo Del Toro, the master of monsters himself, comes a tale of death warmed over.

  • I bet you're all wondering "hey blood, what makes this PS different from the last two?" Well, I was just thinking, Pet Sematary isn't really a tale about zombie animals. It's a story about how a small town doctor, confronted by mortality, tries to hold on to the status quo. Why did Louis bring Church back? To make sure his daughter had the cat she loved. Why did he bring Gage back? So he wouldn't feel guilty about his son's passing. Pet Sematary (or at least my version) is a story about how we try to resurrect the "good times" in our lives and how that's not always a good thing.
  • Another thing I intend to talk about for this movie is the design for the resurrected. While they'll remain rotting, The resurrected should walk in an odd manner, like Church would walk like a two-legged creature walking on it's hands and knees. Also, the skin would be loose in places, kind of like something is wearing the corpse as a skin rather, which would progressively rot as time goes on
  • Also, what would you guys think of Zelda "haunting" the characters, taking the role of Victor Pascow from the original film, in which she tries to warn her sister's family away from the burial ground
