    I'm from Birmingham (Brum) where Peaky Blinders is set and the portrayal of how it is in the show was far worse when I was growing up so it does seem tame to me (but I love the show though , despite some dodgy accents - Tommy in particular) .

    @fredericarrowsmith Tommy wasn't supposed to have a strong Birmingham accent. He gets teased for trying to hide his accent in the show.
