Description of The Minotaur (Mr. Mort):
Despite his imposing stature he not violent and serves as the school’s librarian. The only one who was aware of the Labyrinth’s presence. He is introduced as an antagonist to Barley and Ian but is a red herring to throw the audience off the trail of the real villain. He is aware of the dangers posed by what is locked down in the maze and is genuinely concerned about the town's safety.
