Claire Evans was the sports agent of former NFL cheerleader Natalie Scott who has grown close to her family and friends. She enjoys the privileged lifestyle she leads but has come to find that something was missing. She has explicitly stated that she doesn't believe in love after the death of her husband Sam, choosing instead to have a constant string of meaningless flings with various guys. She moved to Tree Hill after Sam's death causing her to go off the rails and almost ruined her career. She sees Natalie as her top priority as she is trying to prove to the agency that she was capable. She has formed a close friendship with Quentin James since arriving, which blossomed into a relationship after she told him about Sam.
