johnrebel Love Cole Hauser, but save him for Forrest in Book 2. Washington Parker is a Black man in One Second After, and while I don't care for forced diversity, there's no reason not to cast a Black actor here.

Retired, elderly ex-Marine Sergeant living out his days quietly as Head of Security at Montreat College before being forced back into action, getting their local defense ready before giving his life? Perfect twilight of his career role for Lou. Iron Eagle/Toy Soldier fans would love it.
