After the victory, the three brothers draw lots for dominion over the cosmos. Hades receives the Underworld — not as punishment or consolation, but as his portion, a realm he accepts with the same dignity he accepts everything. His Underworld is a place of justice, order, and profound fairness — the exact opposite of the vengeful dungeon popular culture invented. The series explores the moral ambiguity of the Olympians' victory: what does it mean to overthrow your parents? Is there honor in a war of survival? And how do the gods begin to understand their responsibilities toward the mortal world they now govern?
