Taking place in the 2020s
When "Oliver and Company" was released in theaters back in 1988, it took place in New York City which was modern at the time. This remake will take place in 2020's New York City. And it will still have the same concept. Oliver is portrayed as a stray kitten and he gets found by a mutt named Dodger, who thinks the the kitten might be useful in his business in thievery. He lives in an old harbor house where he and other dogs are trained by a man named Fagin to steal things. Because Fagin is in tremendous debt. He has to pay back a loan shark named Sykes or else. The dogs have a plan involving stealing from a wealthy person's house, but it goes wrong when the kitten gets adopted by the little girl who lives there.
