Richard Rider returns to Earth following the events of Guardians of the Galaxy: The Electric Slide to see his family held captive by a mysterious man known only as Maximus. Having no choice but to do the mad man's bidding, Nova goes head to head with Captain Marvel, the Inhuman King Black Bolt, and the forces of SWORD. How will Richard save his family?
