In the aftermath of The Batman 2, Nightwing steps out of Batman’s shadow to face his greatest trial yet: the Court of Owls has crowned a new leader - Talon, a ruthless assassin determined to break him. When Barbara Gordon is brutally injured in Talon’s first strike, she reinvents herself as Oracle, becoming Nightwing’s digital partner in the war for Gotham and Blüdhaven. Together, they uncover the Court’s far-reaching control over the city, from corrupt officials to hidden armies of Talons, while Dick wrestles with the shocking truth of his own family’s ties to the Court. As the Court unleashes chaos across Gotham, Nightwing forges uneasy alliances with Black Canary and Huntress, battling assassins, conspiracies, and his own fractured legacy. Captured and tormented in the Court’s labyrinth, Dick nearly breaks, but Oracle’s guidance restores his resolve. Their partnership grows as the city falls deeper into darkness, leading to an all-out war that tests Nightwing’s limits as a leader and hero. In the explosive finale, Nightwing defeats Talon without surrendering to bloodlust, dismantling the Court’s grip on Blüdhaven. With help from Mr. Terrific, Barbara regains her ability to walk - setting the stage for her return as Batgirl, even as she remains Oracle. Nightwing claims his city, no longer a sidekick, but its true protector.
