Synopsis

Since relinquishing the Robin costume and persona, Dick Grayson has donned a new title outside the shadow of Batman -- Nightwing. Attempting to create his own life and forge his own destiny, he has begun anew in the city of Blüdhaven. As a rookie cop, he works to protect his city from underworld kingpin Joseph Minette and his stalwart bodyguard Mark Desmond without the help of Blüdhaven’s corrupt police force. He’ll soon discover that behind the corruption and villainy that permeate the city, there lurks an even more powerful foe.

Description of Richard John Grayson (Nightwing):

Richard Grayson is equal parts charm and impenetrability. He has a nice smile, tired eyes and a cool, distant manner. However, when provoked, his eyes are so lethal 'they drain a man of every last bit of spleen.' Richard is haunted by the murder of his family. Unbeknownst to those around him, he is also a vigilante. In the shadows, he fights with the commitment and conviction of an artist, the brutal grace of a dancer. Mentally and physically, he is covered in a map of scars. And though he fights to escape his past, it is often a losing battle.
