The troubled lives of four small-town strangers - an estranged blue-collar father, an infertile wife, a college baseball prospect, and an aimless high school graduate - intersect, and turn from ordinary to extraordinary, when they all simultaneously awaken in a wheat field miles from their homes with no recollection of how they got there.
