After the disappearance of Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and Kakashi Hatake followed different paths in their quest to become stronger and capable of facing new challenges. Naruto continued his training with Jiraiya, the hermit toad, to control the power of the Nine-Tails within him, as the power of the Jinchūriki was necessary to combat the threats to come. Meanwhile, Sakura came under the guidance of the legendary tōnin Tsunade, and Kakashi began working more closely with the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, to increase the strength of the Hidden Leaf Village.
