In a world where logic flies backwards, baby Kal-El is sucked out of space and into Krypton’s safety as the planet un-explodes. General Zod is released from the Phantom Zone and congratulated for his loyalty. On Earth, Clark Kent forgets he’s Superman, hiding his powers so well he un-saves people by accident. His dad, Jonathan, rises from a tornado and tells him the world is ready, so Clark must never show who he is. Superman de-learns flight, falling upward into obscurity. He fights General Zod through a healing Metropolis, rebuilding skyscrapers with every punch. Zod is un-snapped back to life, promising to abandon his genocidal plans and instead vanish with his army into the Phantom Zone voluntarily. The Kryptonian world engine lifts debris from the ground and returns it neatly to the sky. Kal-El becomes a mild-mannered nobody at the Daily Planet, where he hides in plain sight. His suit disappears, his powers fade, and he forgets his destiny. His past crumbles in reverse, until nothing remains but silence… and a child growing backward into myth.
