During WWII in Germany, a young man attempts to join the German army, but is refused because of his Japanese heritage. He had fallen in love with a girl, who is then killed in an air raid before he's able to confess his feelings. Unable to stand the grief, he volunteers for a secret Nazi experiment which turns humans into cyborgs. In exchange for offering himself as a human experimentation subject, he decided to have his memories and ability to feel emotions erased and he becomes the cyborg super soldier Proto, The Death God of Nibelungen. Description of Captain Bruno Schmidt (Minor Antagonist / counterpart: brianasalentine):

An SS-Hauptsturmführer who is also a racist and has a great hatred against japanese people. He shows dislike towards Proto due to the latter's japanese heritage and also the fact that he was allowed into the army due to being enlisted by the general for the ЯR Project in the first place made Schmidt disliked Proto even more.
