During the awakening, she goes berserk, giving in to her bloodthirst and became more malicious. She had no sympathy for any of the villagers, due to their constant mocking toward her and their unwanted criticism on her family. The only person she truly cared about was Stefan. Eventually, she dies, killed by her lover and also being exposed to sunlight, leaving her and Stefan's corpse into a pile of ashes.
