Synopsis

Shiroyasha will once again, finally face against his worthy opponent, an immortal being known as Utsuro, currently possessing the body of Gintoki's old comrade, Takasugi Shinsaku. As the white haired samurai and the mysterious immortal being clashed each other in the middle of the Boshin War, while the others face against their own rivals. Unfortunately, defeat for the Shinsengumi came swiftly at the hands of the Imperial Army, and retreated back to Edo in shame. It was a bittersweet homecoming for the warriors of the Shinsengumi, as the city of Edo resembled very little of its former self, engulfed by the harrowing winds of change that were sweeping through the country. As the Shinsengumi's survival came under threat, they were faced with a choice: discard their principals, or give up their lives. Some of them had no choice, and they cloaked themselves in darkness to protect the Shinsengumi's greatest secret: the Rasetsu. This story is about a samurai who looks for a true meaning in his whole life along with an individual group of samurai who allies with the warriors of the Shinsengumi, who are struggling to uphold their faith in an era of rapid social change in Japan, and the fate of those who sought to resist that change

Description of Kōdō Yukimura (Chidori's father, pure blood demon/Secret Antagonist):

Chidori's father, a descendant of a pure breed demon from Yukimura clan who has worked with Yamanami on developing of the water of life under Shogunate's orders. He was obsessed on gaining the power of the demons. This obsession with power, in turn, caused him to go mad, testing subjects and such before he turned himself into a demon. Of course, he also felt a need to restore the Yukimura Clan to its prior glory as a demon clan and was planning on using Chidori. Wanting to destroy humanity and repopulate the earth with demons and monsters, he has developed a newer, stronger Rasetsu that can function in daylight with the help of Arakaki and Fūma.
