Synopsis

The Bakumatsu period, a gap between the past splendour of the Shogunate era and the modern glamor of the Meiji period, is one of the most violent and intriguing places to start a romance. Shinsengumi, a special police force consisted of elite swordsmen was formed by the bakufu in order to maintain the security in the Edo myCast. Ever since the Kansei Purge war ended, The infamous Shiroyasha disappeared for a time period. Now he became a freelancer who opened a freelance business where he could handle matters his own way, while continuing to live by his own samurai code, but not many people know that he is the Shiroyasha. At the same time, a mysterious girl accidentally gets herself wrapped up in the intrigues of the Shinsengumi, doubled with the emergence of a mysterious group of assassins and the appearance of a mysterious faction who claimed to be demons. The men in Shinsengumi are not merely fighting the mysterious assassins and the strange demons, they are also hiding a terrible secret. They are hiding something among them. Based on/Inspired by Gintama, Rurouni Kenshin, Ninja Gaiden, Nioh and Hakuouki, with a combination of characters based on myCast users and original characters.

  • theonewithda_gun Big Spoilers: the secret that the Shinsengumi are hiding is the Rasetsu, some species of demon/vampire like creatures who have existed since the ancient times and was said to be as powerful as the actual demons/oni, they can be said as a subspecies of an Oni/Demon, but they have less intelligence and are creatures that only knows bloodlust until the creation of a human hybrid. A human can be forcefully turned into one by drinking the water of life, but the cost is that they will eventually lose their humanity and they won't live much longer. Josuke and Saya were a half breed Rasetsu through their mothers respectively, their mothers were a natural born Rasetsu-Human hybrid instead of a human who turns into one after drinking the water of life, so they have some kind of demon heritage and can live longer as they can. Kojuro Yukimura (Chidori's father) worked together with Keisuke Yamanami (based on the historical figure of the same name) to create the water of life since after the events of the myCast: Edo part 2. The water of life was used by Shinsengumi members as a last resort in combat, with a cost of losing half of their lifespan and losing their humanity in favor of power and turn them into a mindless beast with nothing but bloodlust. It was also used as another method of punishment for those who broke the code of honor. Supposedly, the water of life is made of a powerful demon's blood. If a demon drinks it, it'll make them more powerful and turn them into a Majin/Shura instead

    • theonewithda_gun And for why Shiroyasha is involved is because he was just dragged into it when he doesn't want to. But he fully join them when he suspected that all these chaos were actually caused by someone he knew from the past
