Synopsis

Continuing from the previous parts. It is then revealed that all the problems from the previous installments are caused by the Tendoushuu, a group of cult like individuals whose true aim is to control japan. They were led by one of the bakufu officials and some of their members are related to the bakufu as well. They have influenced many of the actions and lives of most of the characters and were orchestrating a more bigger plan. To make sure that nobody interferes with their goal, they wanted to eliminate Kyō Narukami due to reasons that will be revealed in the series later. They took the first step by sending their best assassin, Yamato Kansuke, a subject of an immortality experiment to take out Narukami. Now, things have gone awry, with Kyō Narukami and the people who are close to him are being threatened by the Tendoushuu, he must finish what he had started and take matters into his own hands as he was the one who got his friends involved in the whole chaos in the first place. With his friends by his side, he is not alone and will keep fighting for as long as it takes, even if it means sacrificing himself for the greater good and facing the consequences of his own actions.

Description of Ryujiro (The True Antagonist):

The son of a corrupt government official who loses his arm to Kyō before the beginning of part 1 and later plots revenge against him by seeking the Tendoushuu's help and send the Shadow Ninja clan to hunt him down. When everything began falling apart, he kills one of the Tendoushuu's high ranking elders and took the elder's position. Later, the man in black transplanted an artificial demon arm to replace Ryujiro's missing arm for further revenge plan against Kyō. He is the true overarching main antagonist of the Episode Zero trilogy and his actions could be considered the starting point of the trilogy.

  • theonewithda_gun Character info: A spoiled brat at its best. Ryujiro is the spoiled-rotten son of a local magistrate in Edo. His father was revealed to be a higher rank member of the Tendoushuu. Like many of his siblings, he was raised by his father as his personal weapon. However, Ryujiro was a charismatic, cruel, aggressive, and ambitious man. He was utterly ruthless in that he would do anything, including having his own family and friends murdered to obtain power.

    • theonewithda_gun He is arrogant, brash, reckless, sadistic, cruel, vengeful and violent and perceives people to be only as useful as they can to further his agenda and will crush anyone who crosses his path. He displays psychopathic traits and cares little for his subordinates' well-being, even delighting in their deaths as much as those of his enemies.

    • theonewithda_gun Using his father's status as the only reason why he had any power in the first place, Ryujiro hurt, exploited, bullied and harassed lower class people for fun. At his core, he is a spoiled-rotten brat, getting to a short tantrum when townsfolk didn't recognize him. He shows no cowardice around stronger people, even his own father. He even murders his own assistant in cold blood by slashing his throat. Worse, he also likes to sexually assault women

    • theonewithda_gun Not many people want to take actions against Ryujiro due to his family's background. That is until Kyō Narukami stumbles upon Ryujiro after hearing nasty rumors about the latter. The two met when Ryujiro was harassing and threatening to kill a bar owner.

  • theonewithda_gun After becoming an immortal hybrid, Ryujiro's hair becomes a bit longer and his hair color changes to white and his eyes become heterochromatic (right eye is electric blue while left eye is golden yellowish, but one glows red when Ryujiro is angered). His missing arm was replaced by an artificial demon arm and due to the experiments performed on his body, several markings will appear on his body, especially the demon arm whenever he used his powers.

    • theonewithda_gun Before he was experimented by the Tendoushuu, Ryujiro was proficient with swords and is exceptionally skilled at both hand-to-hand combat and kenjutsu. His skills further improved after he become an immortal hybrid. Having a superhuman strength, stamina and durability that is even more stronger than Kansuke, one of the Tendoushuu's immortality experiments test subject.

    • theonewithda_gun As an immortal hybrid, he fights using two katanas, wielding it in a Nitō-ryu style. The two katanas are identified by the emblems on their hilts: Heaven (天, Ame) on the one carried in his right hand, and Earth (地, Tsuchi) on the one carried in his left.

    • theonewithda_gun Another additional features is that he grows two sharp fangs from his mouth like a Rasetsu and grows two horns on his head and his ears become pointed, making him looking like an Oni. It is unknown if the man in black was intentioning on making Ryujiro an artificial Demon/Oni as Ryujiro only stated that he had become immortal. But it is implied to be the case as seen with the artificial demon arm transplanted onto Ryujiro to replace his missing arm.

  • theonewithda_gun In this story, the plan on sending the Shadow Ninjas to assassinate Kyō began to fall apart. An inpatient Ryujiro goes on a mental breakdown and kills one of the Tendoushuu's high ranking elder and then took the position of a high ranking member of the Tendoushuu

    • theonewithda_gun The man in black later offers Ryujiro to participate in an experiment to make him stronger so that Ryujiro could get revenge on Kyō. The man in black performs some kind of experiment on Ryujiro's body and transplanted an artificial demon arm prototype to replace Ryujiro's missing arm. Ryujiro is now reborn as an artificial immortal hybrid who wants nothing but revenge against Kyō Narukami

    • theonewithda_gun After becoming an artificial immortal hybrid, his qualities became worse and he turned more sadistic, egotistical, bloodthirsty and vengeful, as he wants nothing but revenge. He began to harbor a sincere hatred for humans since he had been transformed into an immortal, and began to develop a god complex personality, believing that he would not be bound nor killed by a normal man.
