A 10 year old boy named Sammy Barnes tries to spend the Labor Day weekend with his father Thomas Barnes and his quirky roommate, Jason Powell. However Thomas is too busy with work and hardly has time for him. One night, Sammy makes a wish for his father to have more time for him. The next morning, Thomas wakes up as a kid. Now calling himself Tommy, he learns to let loose a bit and be a better father to Sammy while also trying to learn how to return to normal before the weekend is over.
