April O'Neil (also known by her married name April Jones) is a human woman who long ago befriended the Hamato brothers Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello along with their father Splinter, and eventually, both she and her future husband Casey Jones became grafted into their family. 17 years ago, April took in her surrogate brother Mikey, she married Casey, and the three have been raising April and Casey's daughter Shadow Jones. Even though the Hamato brothers have become estranged, April is the only one left who remains on good terms with all four of them.
