Mumbo Jumbo

Harlem, late 1920s: a "perilous virus" called Jes Grew, which symptoms are jazz music, dancing, anti-racism and polytheism, is striking the United States, and the Wallflower Order, an ancient secret society allied with the still-existing Knight Templars that controls the Western World, vows to destroy it. PaPa LaBas, an eccentric voodoo priest loyal to "The Work", the original way of life, thought and religion of African-Americans, finds himself involved in murders, defamations and colonial wars, while the Mu'tafikah, an organization dedicated to steal museum items stolen by colonialists, vow to do the same with Egyptian and Precolumbian items in New York.
