He's a dreamer who built an empire on spectacle, romance, and the transformative power of entertainment, yet beneath his glittering exterior lies a shrewd businessman and a romantic idealist who genuinely believes in the redemptive power of love and art. Harold serves as both mentor and obstacle to the film's central romance, his motivations shifting between paternal guidance and ruthless pragmatism as he navigates the financial pressures threatening his beloved establishment.
