Once every generation, there is an ancient tournament known as Mortal Kombat, which was designed for the main purpose to save the Realm of Earth from the dark forces of Outworld. If the forces of Outworld win the tournament ten consecutive times, the demonic Emperor, Shao Kahn, will be able to invade and conquer the Realm of Earth and enslave Mankind. Description of Scorpion (Hanzo Hasashi):

Hanzo Hasashi was a murderer and clan leader Shirai Ryu, a decision made to give his wife and son a comfortable life despite his father's opposition. One day, however, Hanzo, his family and clan were all killed by Bi-Han / Sub-Zero, a member of the rival Lin Kuei clan. Some time later, Hanzo is saved by Netherrealm demon expert in black magic and necromancy Quan Chi, becoming a resurrected ninja who will never stop at nothing until he finds the one who killed him, his family and his clan.
