This movie is a biographical picture of Korean cult leader Reverend Sun Myung Moon, from his first years in 1940s Northern Korea to the peak of his success in the 1980s and early 1990s. The film offers a critical view of Moon and his cult, the Unification Church, hence the Reverend is portrayed as a protagonist but not as a hero.
